Maito uses Jam to do the work and replies where you asked.

## How to connect Jam

Open Connections in your workspace and choose Connect next to Jam. You sign in to Jam in a new tab, and that's the whole setup. Name the account and choose Workspace under who can use it. That's the only time anyone signs in: your whole team, shared chats and Loops can use Jam from then on. Or skip ahead and ask for the work: Maito sends you a link if Jam isn't connected yet.

## Questions

### What is the Jam MCP server URL?

Jam publishes it at https://mcp.jam.dev/mcp, and it signs in with OAuth, so there's no key to copy.

### Can I use the Jam MCP server from Slack?

Yes. Connect it to Maito once, then mention Maito in any Slack channel or send it a direct message. The same connection works by email and from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Grok or Muse.

### Does everyone on my team have to connect Jam?

No. One person connects it once and chooses Workspace. Then everyone in the workspace, shared chats and Loops can use Jam, without signing in themselves. Choose Only me instead to keep it to your own chats.

### Do I have to connect Jam before I ask?

No. If a request needs Jam and it isn't connected yet, your agent sends you a link. Connect it, and the work picks up where it stopped.

### Can I limit what Maito does in Jam?

Yes. After you connect, turn off any Jam tools you don't want Maito to use, such as the ones that change data. Tools Jam adds later stay off until you turn them on.
