## How to connect Open Targets

Open Connections in your workspace and choose Connect next to Open Targets. It needs no separate sign-in: choose Connect and it's ready. Name the account and choose Workspace under who can use it. That's the only time anyone signs in: your whole team, shared chats and Loops can use Open Targets from then on. Or skip ahead and ask for the work: Maito sends you a link if Open Targets isn't connected yet.

## Questions

### What is the Open Targets MCP server URL?

OpenTargets publishes it at https://mcp.platform.opentargets.org/mcp, and it needs no sign-in.

### Can I use the Open Targets MCP server from Slack?

Yes. Connect it to Maito once, then mention Maito in any Slack channel or send it a direct message. The same connection works by email and from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Grok or Muse.

### Does everyone on my team have to connect Open Targets?

No. One person connects it once and chooses Workspace. Then everyone in the workspace, shared chats and Loops can use Open Targets, without signing in themselves. Choose Only me instead to keep it to your own chats.

### Do I have to connect Open Targets before I ask?

No. If a request needs Open Targets and it isn't connected yet, your agent sends you a link. Connect it, and the work picks up where it stopped.

### Can I limit what Maito does in Open Targets?

Yes. After you connect, turn off any Open Targets tools you don't want Maito to use, such as the ones that change data. Tools Open Targets adds later stay off until you turn them on.
