## How do you assemble a production traveler?

To assemble a production traveler, run it when a job is released. Maito builds the traveler from the approved drawing revision, routing and inspection checks in your job system and files, checks that the work instruction is the same revision, posts it in Slack, and holds it for your confirmation if anything is mismatched.

Staff rekey routing and print instructions that don't match the order.

## What Maito does

1.  Pull the approved revision and routing
2.  Build the traveler
3.  Check the work instruction revision
4.  Hold it for the supervisor to release

## Example

Loop run: Job 5821 released in the job system

**Maito** (7:30 AM):

Traveler drafted for Job 5821: 250 bracket A7, Rev C, due Nov 13, customer Initech Robotics.

**Routing:** saw, CNC op 20, deburr, inspect, anodize (outside, Hooli Finishing), pack.  
**Checks:** first 5 pieces bore diameter, then every 10th.

**Held. Catch:** the routing links the Rev B work instruction (WI-A7-B), but the order and the drawing are Rev C. Printing now would send the floor the old program notes.

From the job system, the approved drawing and the routing record.

**Raul** (7:41 AM):

The WI is outdated, I'll update it today. Release after.

I'll recheck when WI-A7 changes to Rev C and post here. The traveler stays held until then and you confirm.

### Which systems does it use?

Your ERP, for example NetSuite, through a skill with a login or API key in the Vault. Drawings and work instructions come from Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Notion or Microsoft 365, or docs in Notion, Confluence or Box.

### What does it do with a revision mismatch?

It holds the traveler and says why. It checks again when the work instruction changes.

### Does it release the traveler to the floor?

Only after you confirm.
