## How do you check pick lists before orders ship?

To check pick lists before orders ship, connect your inventory system and name a Slack channel. When picking finishes, Maito compares each scanned line with the order and posts any mismatch there. It also notes stock that is held or unavailable, so the fix happens before packing.

## How it's done today

Paper pick lists are retyped and shortages are found at the packing table.

## What Maito does

1.  Build the pick list from the released order
2.  Compare scans with order quantities
3.  Flag mismatches
4.  Record packing once resolved

## Example

Loop run: Picking finished · SO-31040

**Maito** (11:06 AM):

SO-31040 for Vandelay Imports is picked: 14 lines, 212 units. 13 lines match.

**Mismatch:** line 9, SKU 7731. Ordered 48, scanned 36. 12 short.

The system shows 48 in bin B-14. Catch: 12 of those units were put on cycle-count hold on Oct 15, so they're not really available.

The truck is due at 2:00 PM.

From the order, the scans and the inventory system. Packing hasn't been recorded. Options: ship 36 and backorder 12, or wait for the recount.

**Dev** (11:10 AM):

Ship 36 and backorder 12. Draft the note to Vandelay.

**Maito** (11:12 AM):

Order SO-31040 updated to 36 on line 9 and a 12-unit backorder created. Packing is marked once you confirm. The note to Vandelay Imports is drafted for approval.

## What it won't do

Maito only sees what the scans and the system record. It can't count the physical stock on the shelf.

## Questions

### Which systems does it read?

Airtable or Shopify through MCP for inventory, and your email. An ERP such as NetSuite works through a skill with a login or API key in the Vault.

### Does it stop the shipment?

It flags the mismatch and holds its report on the first problem. A person decides whether to fix the pick or ship short.

### Can it run for every order?

Yes. It runs as a Loop triggered when picking finishes, so each order gets the same check.
