## How do you compare supplier confirmations with your orders?

To compare supplier confirmations with your orders, forward the confirmation to Maito. It reads the PDF, matches it to your purchase order line by line, lists differences in price, quantity and date, flags those that affect customer orders and drafts a reply to the supplier. Your order stays unchanged.

The buyer spots changed prices, quantities and dates by eye, if at all.

Acme Fasteners confirmed PO 4471. 9 of 12 lines match; 3 don't.

• Line 3, hex bolts: $0.142 each instead of $0.138. On 10,000 that's $40.00 more.  
• Line 7, washers: 4,000 instead of 5,000. 1,000 short.  
• Line 11, anchors: delivery Nov 12 instead of Oct 30.

Catch: the anchors are for the Stark Logistics order due Nov 2. Nov 12 is too late.

From the confirmation PDF and PO 4471. Draft to Acme Fasteners is ready. The PO is unchanged.

**Greta** (9:38 AM):

Accept the price. Push back on the washers and the anchor date.

**Maito** (9:40 AM):

Draft updated: accepts $0.142, asks for the 5,000 washers and Oct 30 for the anchors, or a split delivery. It goes out when you approve.
