## How do you compare supplier quotes by delivered cost?

To compare supplier quotes by delivered cost, attach the quotes in Slack. Maito reads each, lines up units, freight, setup and lead time, and totals the delivered cost for your quantity. It flags gaps and spec differences, and attaches a spreadsheet. Drafts to suppliers wait for your approval.

**Raj** (3:15 PM):

Compare the three quotes for 500 aluminum brackets, attached.

**Maito** (3:17 PM):

Delivered cost for 500 units:

• Acme Metals: $4.10 each, $2,050 + freight $210 = $2,260. 3 weeks.  
• Globex Fabrication: $3.85 each, $1,925 + freight $385 + setup $150 = $2,460. 2 weeks.  
• Vandelay Industrial: $3.60 each, $1,800 + freight "collect", not quoted. 4 weeks.

Catch: Vandelay quotes 6063 alloy. Your spec says 6061-T6, as quoted by the other two. Equivalence is your call, and their real total is unknown until freight is quoted.
