# Enterprise Search: Find Any Shared File in Slack

## How do you search company files and find anything someone shared?

To search company files and find anything someone shared, mention Maito in Slack and describe it. Maito searches your connected Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Notion or Microsoft 365, picks the latest version, and tells you who shared it, when it changed and where an older copy is still in use.

People search Slack for 10 minutes.

## What Maito does

1.  Search messages, files and docs
2.  Return the item and where it was

**Kate** (2:10 PM):

find the pricing sheet Dana shared last month.

**Maito** (2:11 PM):

Found two in Google Drive, both shared by Dana.

• **pricing-2027-v2.xlsx**, shared Sep 9.

You want v3. In the comments Dana wrote that v2's Enterprise tier was wrong: $39 a seat there, $42 in v3. Omar's Oct 8 edit changed the 2-year discount from 15% to 17%.

Catch: Priya's pricing page draft in Notion still uses the v2 number.

## How to set it up

When you ask Find anything someone shared

Set up

Nothing to set up. Ask in Slack or by email whenever you need it.

Connect files

-   Google Drive
-   Box
-   Dropbox
-   Notion
-   Microsoft 365

Not connected yet? Your agent sends you a link to sign in.

## What it won't do

It can't see files the connected account has no access to, and it doesn't read Slack channels it wasn't mentioned in. If two files look alike, it tells you both instead of guessing.

## Questions

### Which tools does it search?

The file tools you connect: Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Notion and Microsoft 365. Each connects through MCP, and it only searches what the connected account can see.

### Does it find files people only mentioned in Slack?

It reads a Slack thread only after someone mentions it there. It does not scan channels it wasn't mentioned in, so search runs on your connected file tools.

### Can it send me the file?

Yes. Ask for a PDF or the original and it attaches the file in the thread, or emails it from the workspace address.
