# Find Expertise: Who Has Done This Before

## How do you find who has done this kind of work before?

To find who has done this kind of work before, mention Maito in Slack and describe the project. Maito searches your project folders and staff bios, lists the matching engagements with who led them and the result, notes who has left or is away, and tells you which documents you can't open.

## How to set it up

When you ask Find who has done this before

Set up

Nothing to set up. Ask in Slack or by email whenever you need it.

## What it won't do

It only knows projects that are documented in your files. Work nobody wrote up won't show, and it can't confirm a colleague's availability.

## Questions

### Where does it search?

Your connected file tool: Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Notion or Microsoft 365. It only sees what its account can access.

### What about restricted files?

It can say a file exists but can't open it, and tells you who to ask for access.

### Can it summarize a past project?

Yes. Ask for a one-pager from an open deck or report and it attaches the document.
