## How do you summarize stakeholder interviews?

To summarize stakeholder interviews, point Maito at the notes and say how anonymous the output must be. Maito reads every interview, groups what people said into themes ordered by how many raised them, picks quotes with no names, and flags quotes that could identify one person.

## Example

**Ravi** (4:12 PM):

summarize the 15 stakeholder interviews in Drive (Globex-interviews-Oct). Readout is Thursday. No names in the output.

**Maito** (4:31 PM):

6 themes, ordered by how many interviews raised them:

• **Handoffs between underwriting and claims** (11 of 15). 'I find out a policy was changed when the claim lands.'  
• **Legacy quoting tool** (9). 'Three screens to do one thing.'  
• **Unclear ownership of broker issues** (8)  
• **Training for new hires** (6)  
• **Regional pricing exceptions** (5)  
• **Reporting delays** (4)

Quotes for each theme are in the attached globex-themes.docx.

**Two catches:**  
• One quote, 'the only underwriter in the Leeds office', points to one person. I paraphrased it.  
• Interviews 9 and 12 are only bullet notes, so their counts may be low.

## What it won't do

Theme counts depend on how complete the notes are, so treat them as a guide. Read the quotes before sharing, since only you know who could be identified.

## Questions

### Can it keep people anonymous?

Yes. Tell it no names. It paraphrases any quote that points to one person and tells you it did.

### Where do the interviews need to be?

In your connected file tool: Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Notion or Microsoft 365.

### What if some notes are only bullets?

It still counts them but tells you which interviews were thin, since their theme counts can run low.
