## How do you synthesize research into a memo?

To synthesize research into a memo, point Maito at the source folder and say who it's for. Maito reads every source, adds current data from the web, shows where sources disagree and why, writes the memo with references, and attaches it as a PDF for you to edit.

## Example

**Anika** (2:40 PM):

write a 4-page market memo on EV charging in Spain for Initech Energy. The 30 sources are in Drive, folder Spain-EV-sources. Add anything current from the web.

**Maito** (2:58 PM):

Attached: spain-ev-charging-memo.pdf (4 pages, 27 references).

**Headline:** public charge points grew about 24% in 2025, but fast chargers (150 kW and up) are still under a fifth of the total.

**Where sources disagree:**  
• Public points at end of 2025: 38,400 (source 7, grid operator) vs 52,100 (source 19, industry group).  
• Average fast-charger utilization: 11% (source 12) vs 17% (source 24).  
• Regional leaders: Catalonia first in 6 sources, Madrid first in 4.

**The catch:** source 19 counts private-access points. That explains most of the 13,700 gap. I used 38,400 and footnoted it.

Sources 5, 16 and 28 were scanned images; I read them but a person should check the tables on pages 2 and 3. Want a one-page version for the client call?

## What it won't do

It reports what the sources say and can't confirm a source is right. Scanned pages can be misread, so check key figures before a client sees them.

### How many sources can it read?

A folder of around 30 is typical. It reads PDFs, documents and scanned pages, and tells you which scans it had to read as images.

### What happens when sources disagree?

It lists the conflicting figures, says which it used and why, and footnotes the choice.

### Which file tools work?
