To thank donors personally, tell Maito when to run and where your gift records are. Each week Maito reads last week's gifts, drafts a thank-you for each using the donor's history, and flags first-time gifts, memorial gifts and possible duplicate charges for a person to handle. ## How it's done today Thank-yous go out weeks later, all the same. ## What Maito does 1. Read the gift and donor history 2. Draft a personal thank-you ## Example Loop run: Monday 9:00 AM · Weekly thank-yous **Maito** (9:00 AM): 42 gifts totaling $11,640. 42 drafts attached: thank-yous-oct19.docx. Sample, for a returning donor: 'Dear Ruth, thank you for your gift of $1,000. You last gave in 2021, to the reading program, and it means a lot to see you back. This year that program reached 120 more children.' **Needs a person:** • Ruth's gift is her first in 5 years. • 3 first-time donors. • 1 gift is in memory of Dennis Hale. The draft opens with condolences and no 'exciting news'. • 2 gifts of $50 from Pied Piper Foundation came 40 seconds apart. Likely a double submit, so check before thanking twice. From the donor database. **Lena** (9:12 AM): I'll write Ruth's myself. Merge the two Pied Piper gifts into one note. **Maito** (9:13 AM): Merged into one note for $50, with a line that we'll check for a duplicate charge. Ruth's draft is removed. 40 drafts remain for you to send. ## How to set it up When something happens Thank donors personally Ask your agent “Every Monday at 9am, look up last week's gifts in our donor database, draft a personal thank-you for each using the donor's history, and post them for the team to send from Gmail.” Connect email - Gmail - Microsoft 365 - Superhuman Mail Use donor database - Salesforce Nonprofit No MCP server needed. No. It drafts them and your team sends them from Gmail. ### How does it handle sensitive gifts?
