# OKR Tracking: Goal Progress From Real Data

Maito checks your goals in Notion against the numbers in your database every other week and posts which are on track, at risk or off track, with the reason.

Goals get their progress from real data, not from a status meeting.

## How do you track company goals?

To track company goals, keep them in Notion and set a recurring Loop. Maito reads each goal, pulls the current number from your database, and posts which are on track, at risk or off track, with the gap and the owner. It flags where a metric's definition may differ from the goal.

Loop run: Every other Friday 10:00 AM · Goals check

**Maito** (10:00 AM):

Q4 goals, Oct 23. Notion goals against BigQuery, 8 goals.

**On track (5):** ARR $1.02M of $1.2M, NPS 47, hiring 9 of 12, launch scope, uptime 99.95%.

**At risk (2)**  
• Activation 41% against 50%. Needs +4 points a week.  
• Support response 58 minutes against a 45 minute target.

**Off track (1)**  
• Enterprise pipeline $1.4M against $2.5M. Dana, 4 deals slipped to Q1.

Catch: churn shows 2.1%, on track against 2.5%. The query changed on Oct 3 to exclude trials. With trials it's 3.0%, which is at risk. Nina, can you confirm which one the goal means?

**Nina** (10:22 AM):

the goal means all customers. Use 3.0%.

**Maito** (10:23 AM):

Updated. Churn moves to at risk, so 4 goals now need an owner comment: Nina, Sam, Jo and Dana. I'll remind them Monday.

## What it won't do

It's only as accurate as the data and goal definitions it reads. A goal with no measurable number can't be tracked, and it will say so.

## Questions

### Where do the goals live?

In a docs tool such as Notion, Confluence or Box. The numbers come from a database like BigQuery or Supabase.

### Who sees the result?

Whoever is in the channel or email you choose. The owner of an off-track goal is named.

### Does it update the goals?

No. It reads and reports. People change goals themselves.
