To watch for regulatory change, tell Maito which laws and regulators matter to you and set a weekly Loop. It searches the official sources and legal news, then posts what changed, what it means for your business and what your team may need to do. Minor items are listed separately. ## How it's done today Changes are found from a newsletter weeks later. ## What Maito does 1. Check regulator sites and legal news on your topics 2. Summarize what changed and who it affects ## Example Loop run: Monday 8:00 AM · Weekly privacy watch **Maito** (8:00 AM): 1 change worth your time, 2 to know about. **Matters:** the EDPB published updated cookie banner guidelines on Oct 15. Withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it, and rejecting must be as prominent as accepting. Our marketing site shows Accept all on the first layer and puts Reject under Manage. That is the pattern the guidelines call out. **To know:** • ICO consultation on storage and access technologies closes Nov 20. • No change to UK adequacy decisions this week. I'll check next Monday whether the EDPB sets a compliance date. ## How to set it up On a schedule Watch for rule changes Ask your agent “Every Monday at 8, check the ICO, the EDPB and legal news for changes to privacy rules in the EU and UK. Post what changed and who it affects in #legal.” ## What it won't do It reads public sources and can miss a change that isn't published yet or sits behind a paywall. It isn't legal advice, so have a lawyer confirm anything it marks as important. ## Questions ### Which sources does it check? The regulators and sites you name, plus web research. You pick the regions and topics, for example EU and UK privacy rules. ### Where do the updates go? To a Slack channel or email, on the schedule you set, such as every Monday morning. ### Does it tell us what to do? It explains what changed and where it touches your business, using what your team has told it.
