## How do you write the monthly finance report?

To write the monthly finance report, set up a Loop in Maito after the close. It reads the numbers in QuickBooks or Xero and your plan in a spreadsheet, builds the P&L, cash view and charts, writes commentary on what moved and why, and attaches the pack for your finance lead to edit.

**Why margin fell**  
Hosting cost rose $58k after the August migration, and about $31k of it is duplicate hosting still running in the old account. That's the one to fix.

Opex is $23k under plan, mostly because 2 hires started in October, not September.
