# Slack, MCP & Repository Integrations

Source: https://maito.app/works-with

Connect Maito to Slack, your AI assistant, repositories, and documentation. Use MCP tools to investigate software issues with the access your team enables.

Works with

Work with Maito in Slack or through your AI assistant. Connect your code and the tools your team uses so investigations start with the context behind each issue.

## Slack

Start an investigation, add context, question findings, and review a proposed fix together in the same conversation.

## Your AI assistant

Connect through MCP to direct Maito from the AI assistant you already use.

## Your repositories

Give Maito access to the code behind your product. Coding tasks use separate sandboxes and bring proposed changes back for review.

## Connected tools and documentation

Use project documentation, logs, tickets, and connected tools to gather evidence. Store the credentials your agent needs in Vault.

## Connect the sources an investigation needs.

1. Connect your AI provider and the repository behind your product.
2. Add project documentation and enable the MCP tools needed to inspect tickets, logs, or other evidence.
3. Connect Slack or your AI assistant to the workspace, then start with a specific issue and the outcome you need.

Each connection uses the permissions you grant. A tool name in an example does not mean Maito has access to that service automatically. Keep credentials in Vault, and review access before allowing an agent to change production systems.
