Lindy vs Adapt

Lindy sells a ready AI assistant for every teammate. Adapt sells a platform for your company agent. Which one does your team need? And which one costs less per person?

What's the difference between Lindy and Adapt?

Lindy is a ready AI assistant for each person's inbox, calendar, and meetings, plus a shared teammate in Slack. Adapt is a platform for building and running your company's own agent, with control over models, governance, and hosting.

Lindy is something every employee uses on day one: connect your email and calendar and start delegating. Adapt is something a technical team sets up for the company: choose the model path, connect the business systems, set the approvals and budgets, and decide where it runs. Both have company memory, both run scheduled work, and both work in Slack, email, and iMessage.

What is Lindy best at?

Lindy is best at personal communication work that every employee has, such as inbox triage, scheduling, meeting notes, and follow-ups, without any build.

A Slack admin installs it and each person links Google or Microsoft and a phone number. Routines start when a meeting ends, an email arrives, or a calendar event approaches. Personal skills apply to one person's requests and team skills to everyone's.

What is Adapt best at?

Adapt is best at company-wide work across business systems, such as querying the warehouse, reconciling finance tools, and turning issues into tested pull requests, under governance your team defines.

It connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Stripe, QuickBooks, Zendesk, Greenhouse, and GitHub. Its company brain gathers knowledge, skills, and memory from work and prunes what's no longer useful. Governance covers scopes, approvals on named actions, budgets, traces, and audit records.

How much setup do Lindy and Adapt take?

Lindy's setup is personal: each teammate links their own accounts in a few minutes. Adapt's setup is organizational: someone chooses models, templates, approvals, and budgets for the company.

Lindy's guardrails let you decide which actions in shared Slack threads need approval. That's most of the configuration.

Adapt's connections take no engineering, and templates cover jobs like ad-spend checks and issue-to-pull-request work. Beyond that, the choices are yours to make and keep current. An independent review called setup and connection effort Adapt's main cost.

Which one handles your product's code, Lindy or Adapt?

Adapt. Engineering issues come back from it as tested pull requests that a person reviews. Lindy builds internal tools and HTML pages, which is useful software but not work on your product's repository.

Adapt's engineers code through it from Slack, and dealt with commits being attributed to the shared agent by adding personal integrations. Slack is my IDE. The bigger jobs Lindy shows off are internal tools and HTML artifacts.

Summary is in the thread: 2 roles have offers out, 3 need more first interviews this week. On iPhone, the apply button sits under the cookie banner and can't be tapped. Video attached. PR #189 moves the banner and adds a mobile test. Checks pass.
