How do you check how competitors do a feature?
To check how competitors do a feature, tell Maito which feature and which products. It researches each company's pricing pages and help docs on the web, compares how they handle it, notes which plan includes it, and replies with a table and the details that differ. It names where it could not find a clear answer.
How it's done today
PMs click through competitor apps for hours.
What Maito does
- Read competitor docs and pages
- Compare flows, limits and pricing
Example
@Maito How do competitors handle team permissions?
Five products, from their pricing pages and help docs today. • Globex Tasks: 4 fixed roles, no custom roles • Initech Flow: 5 roles, custom roles on Business ($24/seat) • Hooli Work: 3 roles, custom roles on Enterprise only • Pied Piper Projects: 6 roles, custom roles on all paid plans • Acme Boards: 3 roles, no custom roles The catch: only Initech sets roles per project. The other four set them per workspace, and Pied Piper's help center says per-project roles are on its roadmap. Also, Hooli changed its pricing page on Oct 6 but one help article still lists the old tiers, so check with a trial account before quoting it. Custom roles sit behind the top tier in 2 of 5.
@Maito Do any of them let a guest see just one project?
Yes: Initech Flow and Pied Piper Projects. Globex Tasks has guests, but they see the whole workspace.

How to set it up
- Set up
Nothing to set up. Ask in Slack or by email whenever you need it.
What it won't do
It only sees public pages. Features hidden behind a login or added last week may not appear, and plans change.
Questions
Public sources: pricing pages, help centers and product pages, read at the time you ask.
No. It reads public pages only.
As current as the pages it reads that day, and each claim links to where it came from.
