How do you prepare for a new client consultation?
To prepare for a new client consultation, point Maito at the booking event. It reads the intake form and the client's emails, drafts a short timeline from facts the client supplied, lists missing fields, flags conflicting dates and queues the names for conflict review. The attorney gets one prep note before the call.
How it's done today
Intake forms arrive half-filled and the lawyer rebuilds the timeline.
What Maito does
- Check the intake for missing fields
- Draft a chronology from supplied facts with sources
- Send names to conflict review
- Prepare a request for missing information
Example
Loop run: Consultation booked · Thu Oct 22, 2:00 PM
Prep for Daniel Cho, Thursday 2:00 PM (employment matter, referred by Pruitt). Intake: 7 of 10 fields. Missing: employer's full legal name, whether he signed any agreement, pay records. Timeline, as supplied • Mar 3, 2025: hired as operations manager (form) • Aug 14, 2026: raised overtime pay concern (his email) • Sep 30, 2026: terminated (form) Catch: his email to us says he was told on Sep 26, not Sep 30. Dates matter, so please ask him. Names sent to conflict review: Initech Corp and Peter Gibbons.
@Maito Draft a request for the missing items. I'll review before it goes.
Draft ready for your review. It asks for the employer name, any signed agreement, recent pay stubs and the date he was first told. No legal advice in it.

What it won't do
It can't verify what the client wrote. If two sources disagree, it flags the difference and leaves the question to the attorney.
Questions
No. It only organizes what the client supplied and cites where each fact came from. The attorney does the legal analysis.
It drafts the request and waits for the attorney's review before anything goes out by email.
Email through Gmail, Microsoft 365 or Superhuman Mail, and docs in Notion, Confluence or Box. Forms and practice management software work through a skill.
