How do you check that a quote request is complete?
To check that a quote request is complete, send RFQ emails to a shared inbox. Maito reads the email and drawing title blocks, lists revision, quantities, material, finish and due date, saves the files in one folder, flags anything missing or conflicting with an earlier quote, and drafts the question for your approval.
How it's done today
The estimator searches old emails for quantities, materials and the latest file.
What Maito does
- Collect the drawings and request details
- Identify the revision and quantities
- Flag anything missing
- Save everything in one folder and draft the question
Example
Loop run: New email in quotes@northstar.example
RFQ-1184 from Initech Robotics, 4 files saved to one folder. Part: bracket A7, drawing Rev C Quantities: 50 / 250 / 500 Material: 6061-T6 Finish: black anodize, Type II Quote due: Nov 6 Missing: bore tolerance (print says 'per spec', no spec attached), material cert requirement, delivery date. Catch: the Oct 12 thread in the same inbox quoted Rev B, quantity 100 only. This request is Rev C with new quantities, so don't reuse that price. Taken from the email text and the PDF title blocks. Draft question to their buyer is ready for approval.
@Maito Send it, and add that we need the spec for the bore.
Sent to Initech Robotics asking for the bore spec, cert requirement and delivery date. Added a task for Raul to check the drawing against Rev B.

What it won't do
It checks completeness, not feasibility. It does not judge whether you can make the part or what it should cost.
Questions
Into one folder in Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Notion or Microsoft 365. Requests are logged in Airtable or Microsoft 365.
No. It warns you when a similar request had a different revision or quantity, so you do not reuse the price.
It drafts the question. It goes out only after you approve it.
