How do you research an account before a sales call?
To research an account before a sales call, mention Maito in Slack with the meeting. It reads the invite and the deal history in your CRM, checks the company's site and recent news, then writes a one-page brief with who they are, past activity, what changed and questions to ask.
How it's done today
Rep skims LinkedIn, the website, news and old CRM notes minutes before the call.
What Maito does
- Read the calendar invite
- Look up the company, recent news and funding
- Pull past emails, deals and tickets
- Write a brief with talking points and open questions
Example
@Maito prep me for my 2pm with Acme.
Acme, 2:00 PM, with Hannah (VP Ops) and Raj (IT) Who they are: logistics software, 340 people, $45M Series C in August. History: 25 seats since March 2025 ($18k a year). Open HubSpot deal to grow to 60 seats, $31k, last touched Oct 2. Catch: Marcus, your champion, left Acme in September. Raj is new to the thread and isn't in HubSpot, so Hannah may now be the only one who knows the deal. Ask them: • Who replaced Marcus as day-to-day owner? • Does the Series C change the 60-seat plan? • Is IT reviewing security before signing? From your calendar invite, HubSpot, and Acme's site and press page.
@Maito give me one opening line for Hannah.
'Congrats on the Series C, Hannah. Before we pick up the 60 seats, who's running this on your side now that Marcus has moved on?'

What it won't do
It only knows what your CRM, calendar and the public web show. A job change that hasn't been reported anywhere won't appear in the brief.
Questions
Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Cal.com or Calendly for the meeting, and HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio or Pipedrive for the deal history. It also researches the company on the public web.
No. It finds the meeting in your calendar and looks the attendees up in your CRM. Mention the meeting in your message so it knows which one you mean.
Yes. It compares the CRM history with what is public today and calls out things like a champion who left or a new funding round.
