How do you run a content gap analysis?

To run a content gap analysis, ask Maito which topics your competitors rank for that you don't. It pulls the data from Semrush, Ahrefs or Similarweb, compares their pages with yours, ranks the gaps by search volume and difficulty, and suggests a title for each page worth writing.

How it's done today

SEO audit happens once a year with an agency.

What Maito does

  1. Compare your pages with competitors' pages
  2. List topics you're missing
  3. Suggest pages to write first

@Maito what topics do Globex and Initech cover that we don't? Use Semrush.

Maito APP 9:52 AM

I compared 140 of their ranking pages with our 86 and pulled volumes from Semrush. 12 gaps worth writing. Top five: 1. SOC 2 checklist for small companies: Globex ranks #3, 2,900 searches a month, we have nothing. Title: 'The SOC 2 checklist for a 20-person company'. 2. Vendor onboarding template: Initech #2, 1,600 a month. 3. Quarterly business review template: 4,400 a month, difficulty 71 of 100. Both rank. Hard. 4. Month-end close checklist: 1,300 a month. 5. Customer escalation policy: 880 a month, only Initech covers it. Catch: our 'Contract renewal checklist' is at position 14 for a term where Initech's 300-word page is #4. A refresh is cheaper than a new page. All 12 are in seo-gaps-oct.xlsx.
