How do you monitor competitors every week?
To monitor competitors every week, set a Maito Loop for Monday morning. It checks each competitor's pricing page, changelog, blog and new pages on the web, compares them with last week, and posts a roundup in Slack of what launched or changed and what is worth a response.
How it's done today
Someone checks competitor sites when they remember, usually before a board meeting.
What Maito does
- Check competitor sites, changelogs, pricing pages and posts
- Keep only real changes
- Post a short roundup
Example
Loop run: Monday 8:00 AM · Weekly competitor roundup
Competitor roundup, Oct 12-18 • Globex: Team plan went from $24 to $28 per seat on Oct 14. Free trial is now 7 days, was 14. • Initech: Shipped a public API on Oct 16. The docs list 3 integrations and Slack isn't one of them. • Acme: New page 'Acme vs Northstar' went live Oct 15. It says we have no audit log. Our pricing page lists one on Business. • Hooli, Pied Piper: No changes. Catch: Acme's page is already indexed and sits on page 2 for 'northstar alternative', so the wrong claim is getting seen. From each company's pricing page, changelog and blog, checked this morning.
@Maito list every claim on the Acme page next to what our site says. Sales needs it by Wednesday.
Attached: acme-claims.pdf. 6 claims: 1 false (audit log), 1 outdated (their 2025 price table), 4 fair. I haven't changed anything on our site.

How to set it up
- Ask your agent
“Every Monday at 8, check what Globex, Initech, Acme, Hooli and Pied Piper changed on their sites, pricing pages, changelogs and blogs, and post a short roundup in #marketing.”
What it won't do
It sees only public pages. Prices behind a login or sales quote, and private roadmaps, can't be checked.
Questions
The ones you list. Give Maito the names and the pages to check, and it adds new ones when you ask.
No. It uses web research, so there is nothing to connect. Add a call-notes tool if you want a battle card too.
Yes. Ask it to put a competitor's page next to your own and it lists each claim as false, outdated or fair.
