How do you prepare monthly client reports?
To prepare monthly client reports, set a Loop for the start of each month. Maito pulls analytics and ad numbers for each client, checks they agree, drafts the commentary and attaches a spreadsheet. Gaps are flagged, and the drafts go to your strategist in Slack to review.
How it's done today
Staff copy numbers across platforms by hand and write each report from scratch.
What Maito does
- Pull this month's exports
- Reconcile periods and definitions
- Flag missing data
- Draft sourced commentary for review
Example
Loop run: Oct 2 10:00 AM · Monthly client reports
September reports are drafted for Acme, Globex and Umbrella Health. Attached: acme-sept.xlsx, globex-sept.xlsx, umbrella-sept.xlsx. • Acme: ad spend $8,420, 312 leads, cost per lead $27, down from $34. • Globex: spend $5,100, 140 leads, $36. • Umbrella Health: spend $3,960. Leads missing. Catch: Globex analytics counted 29 days in September because tracking broke on Sep 17 and 18, so their 140 leads may be low by about 10. I haven't filled it in. Umbrella's form export didn't arrive. Sources: ad platform exports and analytics for Sep 1 to 30. Commentary is a first draft only.
@Maito Umbrella export is in the shared drive now. Rerun that one.
Umbrella has 98 leads, cost per lead $40, up from $31. I added a draft note that the rise follows the Sep 9 budget cut. That's my guess, so I've marked it for you to confirm or delete.

What it won't do
Maito can't explain why results moved beyond what the data shows. The strategist adds the judgment before a report goes out.
Questions
Amplitude, Mixpanel or PostHog for analytics, Windsor.ai or Supermetrics for ads, and Airtable or Microsoft 365 for spreadsheets.
No. It posts drafts for the strategist, and a person sends them.
It flags the gap and leaves that metric out instead of estimating it.
