How do you catch the meaning of a customer email?
To catch the meaning of a customer email, forward it to Maito or copy it on the thread. It reads the message against past emails, notes what changed in tone or wording, and tells you if the customer looks unhappy. You get a short flag with the exact lines and the history behind them.
How it's done today
Frustration builds over several polite emails.
What Maito does
- Read incoming customer email
- Spot frustration or risk
- Alert the CSM with the reason
Example
Loop run: Email forwarded to maito@northstar.example
Globex may be looking elsewhere. Carla (admin) wrote about invoice 10442 at 8:42 AM. The email is polite, but she says: "We're evaluating options for next year and want to understand if the seat price is fixed." Why I flagged it: this is the third email in 3 weeks about price. Oct 1 and Oct 9 said "quick question". This is the first one that mentions alternatives, and she copied her finance lead, Martin. The question about price is also unanswered from Oct 9. From the forwarded thread in Gmail.
@Maito draft a reply for me. Answer the price question and offer a call. Don't mention a discount.
Draft below, not sent. "Hi Carla, thanks for asking. Seat price is fixed until your renewal on Dec 18. I'd like to walk through next year with you and Martin. Do you have 20 minutes on Wednesday or Thursday?"

How to set it up
- Ask your agent
“Watch customer emails that come to the workspace address or are forwarded to it. If a customer sounds unhappy or hints at leaving, tell me in #customer-success with the exact phrase.”

What it won't do
It reads tone from text, so it can be wrong. Use the flag as a reason to look, not as a verdict on the customer.
Questions
No. It reads the threads you forward or copy to the workspace address.
Hints such as a mention of alternatives, a new person copied, or the same question asked three times.
It can draft a reply for you. Nothing is sent without your approval.
