How do you turn an inspection report into an action list?
To turn an inspection report into an action list, post your notes and photos in Slack and mention Maito. It groups the findings as urgent, soon and routine, links each photo to its finding, points out related issues from earlier inspections, and creates the tasks in your task tracker once you confirm.
How it's done today
Staff manually create follow-up tasks and forget defects.
What Maito does
- Read the inspection notes and photos
- Match findings to rooms and items
- Draft tasks with severity and deadlines
- Send the list for review
Example
@Maito here are my notes and 22 photos from the 18 Birch Street inspection. Turn it into an action list.
14 findings from your notes. Draft only. Urgent (2) • Bedroom 2 smoke alarm doesn't chirp on test. Replace this week. • Bathroom GFCI outlet doesn't trip. Electrician by Oct 23. Soon (5) • Kitchen faucet drip, loose handle, cracked caulk at tub, 2 stained ceiling tiles in hall, window seal fogged in living room Routine (7) • Paint touch-ups, door stops and 5 more, in the attached list Catch: the hall ceiling stain and the bathroom outlet are on the same wall as the Sep 3 leak at unit 2A upstairs. They may be connected. Photos are linked to their findings. Source: your notes and photos only.
@Maito raise the hall stain to urgent and create the tasks.
Hall stain is now urgent, which makes 3. 14 tasks are in the task tracker with photos, due dates and Acme Maintenance on the electrical ones. The 2A leak history is attached to the stain task.

What it won't do
It lists what your notes and photos show. It does not diagnose causes, and a possible link between two findings is a flag for someone to check.
Questions
Linear, Asana, ClickUp, Jira and Trello. Notes and photos can come from Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Notion or Microsoft 365.
Yes. It posts a draft first. Tell it to raise or lower an item and it updates the list before creating tasks.
It reads typed notes and photos you share. If a line is unreadable, it asks you rather than guessing.
