Viktor vs Lindy

Viktor and Lindy both sell an AI teammate for Slack. Which one does more of the work? And which one costs less for a ten-person team?

Dmitry Dubovetzky

Which is better, Viktor or Lindy?

Viktor is better if your team needs reports, apps, and code fixes from Slack or Microsoft Teams without paying per person. Lindy is better if every regular user wants a personal assistant for their inbox and meetings.

Pick Viktor for

  • Code fixes and pull requests
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Many occasional users on one bill

Pick Lindy for

  • Each person's inbox, calendar, and meetings
  • A SOC 2 Type II report or HIPAA agreement
  • Memory you can read and edit as files

Viktor is an AI employee that takes on whole assignments, from reports and dashboards to code fixes, paid for with shared workspace credits. Lindy is a shared teammate and personal assistant built around email, calendars, and meetings, paid per active user.

Both now sell themselves as a teammate for the whole company, and both answer in Slack threads, remember the team, run recurring work, and ask before sensitive actions. The difference is where each one reaches. Viktor reaches into the company's systems: CRM, ad accounts, spreadsheets, repositories. Lindy reaches into each person's day: their inbox, calendar, meetings, and texts.

The pricing follows the same split. Viktor charges the workspace and meters the work. Lindy charges each person and pools their credits.

This guide is for a ten-person account team choosing between shared operations and individual inbox help. If the one you have already sends the right follow-ups with the right permissions, headcount alone isn't a reason to switch.

What is Viktor best at?

Viktor is best at multi-step business assignments across many connected tools, such as client account reviews, CRM clean-ups, campaign reports, internal apps, and repository fixes.

It works in Slack and Microsoft Teams, connects to more than 3,200 apps, and shows its output in Spaces and Pages. It clones repositories, creates branches, fixes bugs, and opens pull requests.

What is Lindy best at?

Lindy is best at each person's communication work: triaging email, scheduling, taking meeting notes, preparing briefs, and sending follow-ups, with a shared teammate in Slack channels on top.

Each teammate links their Google or Microsoft account for email and calendar, and a phone number for iMessage. In Slack channels, its work is visible to the team; in DMs, it's private. Routines can start when a meeting ends, an email arrives, or a calendar event comes up.

Which one handles code, Viktor or Lindy?

Viktor. It clones your repositories, fixes bugs on branches, and opens pull requests. Lindy builds internal tools and HTML pages, which is software creation, not work on your product's codebase.

For a team that wants an AI teammate to touch its product, Viktor is the one of the two that does, and it requires sign-off before it pushes code.

Lindy's larger jobs are internal tools and apps built from connected business data. For a team whose product lives in a repository, that's a different job.

Winner: Viktor. Of the two, only Viktor works in your existing repositories.

Which one keeps work private better, Viktor or Lindy?

Both separate personal and shared context. Lindy draws the line by file, with private personal files and workspace-readable team files. Viktor draws it by memory type, with a personal profile, team knowledge, and workflow skills.

Lindy's memory is a versioned file explorer: personal files are private inside the workspace, team files are readable by all members and edited by owners and admins, and system files are read-only.

Viktor's personal profile keeps each person's writing style and boundaries, while team updates apply to everyone's later work. Admins control which integrations Viktor can use, and credentials are injected only when a task runs.

Winner: Lindy, because anyone can open the team files and see exactly what it remembers.

How do Viktor and Lindy charge for recurring work?

Both can run recurring work without spending on the model each time. Viktor's script jobs make no model calls and cost no credits; Lindy turns routines into scripts that finish without waking the agent.

Viktor separates script jobs from agent jobs. Model work spends credits.

Lindy scripts can finish alone, hand work to the agent, or wake the agent to repair an error. They do not carry the connected Gmail, Slack, or Calendar credentials, which changes which jobs can stay script-only. A dry run checks reads and logic without proving final delivery.

Winner: Viktor for cheap scheduled jobs, since script jobs spend no credits. Lindy for jobs that start when an email lands or a meeting ends.

Is Viktor or Lindy more secure?

As of October 2026, Lindy is SOC 2 Type II certified and adds a HIPAA agreement, SSO, and SCIM on Enterprise. Viktor is SOC 2 Type 1 certified with its Type II audit underway, and offers SAML SSO and EU data residency on Enterprise.

Neither one trains models on customer data. Viktor asks a person to sign off before code pushes and customer emails; Lindy asks before the actions you mark for approval.

Winner: Lindy for a vendor review that asks for SOC 2 Type II or HIPAA. Viktor if your data has to stay in the EU.

Which is faster to set up, Viktor or Lindy?

Viktor installs into Slack or Microsoft Teams and starts with up to $100 in free credits, no card needed. Lindy needs a paid Slack plan for new installs, and each colleague accepts an invite and links their own email, calendar, and phone.

Lindy's per-person linking is what makes its inbox help work, so the extra steps buy something. A team that only wants channel work pays for them anyway.

Winner: Viktor.

What do Viktor and Lindy cost?

As of October 2026, Viktor's Team plan starts at $50 a month per workspace for 20,000 shared credits, or $100 for 40,000. Lindy costs $49.99 a month per active user with 5,000 credits each, so ten people pay $499.90 for 50,000 pooled credits.

For ten people, here's the month on comparable credit totals:

Viktor Team

$100 per workspace per month

  • 40,000 shared credits each month, no seats
  • Credits roll over one period, then expire
  • Top-ups, automatic top-ups, and spend caps
  • Work pauses at zero credits

Lindy Team

$49.99 per active user per month

  • 5,000 credits per user, pooled
  • Monthly credits don't roll over
  • Top-ups at $10 per 1,000 credits
  • Anyone who uses Lindy in Slack takes a seat

The bigger the team, the more the pricing units matter. A 25-person team that asks occasionally pays Lindy $1,249.75 a month and Viktor still $100 plus whatever extra credits the work needs. A three-person team that uses it all day pays Lindy $149.97 and gets 15,000 credits.

Winner: Viktor for any team bigger than one person.

How do Viktor and Lindy handle the same account handover?

Ask Viktor and Lindy for an account handover with unsent follow-ups for every account that has open actions. Harbor (2) and Bay (4) need follow-ups; Pine has none.

Harbor had three meetings, Pine one, Bay two. Lindy pulls the meetings from the account owner's calendar and notes. Viktor pulls them from the CRM and whatever tools the workspace connected. The better answer comes from the one that already sees where your team logs meetings.

What do Viktor and Lindy users say in reviews?

As of October 2026, Lindy rates 4.9 out of 5 on G2 from about 170 reviews and 1.7 on Trustpilot from 40. Viktor rates 4.0 on Trustpilot from 23 reviews.

Lindy's G2 reviewers like how quickly it's running; its Trustpilot reviewers write about surprise credit use, being charged after cancelling, and slow replies from support. Viktor's reviewers credit it with saving time on real work across Slack and Shopify, and their main complaint is that long threads eat credits.

What carries over between Viktor and Lindy?

Viktor exports workspace data on request, and Lindy's team memory files carry over as text. Personal Lindy files stay with their owners; routines and connections are set up again.

So should you choose Viktor or Lindy?

Choose Viktor if your team needs reports, apps, and code fixes from Slack or Microsoft Teams without paying per person. Choose Lindy if your team's work lives in inboxes, calendars, and meetings, and every regular user wants a personal assistant.

Choose Viktor if…

  • You need pull requests, dashboards, and internal apps
  • Part of your company works in Microsoft Teams
  • Many people ask occasionally, so seats would add up

Choose Lindy if…

  • Most work is email, scheduling, and meetings
  • Each person wants their own inbox assistant
  • Your team is small and uses it all day

Is there a Viktor or Lindy alternative that covers both kinds of work?

Yes. Maito handles company systems, personal follow-ups, and any coding task in the same thread, for $149 per workspace with unlimited people, plus your AI provider's usage.

Each person's Gmail or calendar connection stays theirs, shared work uses the team's shared connections, and code changes run in a sandbox with checks and QA before a pull request. Your team reaches it in Slack, by email, or in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Grok, and Muse.
